I was really pleased that Niki Ernst stopped by in Denmark to give a great presentation as part of the Cup Of Tea events at Erhvervsakademiet Lillebælt, and the following day he presented a Masterclass to about 60 of my students.
Niki is a TedX Ambassador based in Austria, and he arranges and organises lots of great TedX events. Also, he is the CEO of Planetsisa, working with design, promotion and advertising for companies as diverse as Greenpeace to Imperial Tobacco, and everything in-between.
Niki Ernst is interesting because he is also a founder of The Innovation Agency Network iacy. Niki is among the leading profiles in trendmonitoring and communication strategies and he pulls together a Worldwide network of innovation agencies. So a pretty busy guy!
Niki shared some insights of how to sell creativity.
He spent a lot of time talking about how students present themselves, and how to understand what exactly it is that a person or company is selling. He also had lots of great case studies of things that worked well, and things that didn’t.
He also shared some fascinating facts and numbers from “behind the scenes” at Ted, and talked about how ideas spread in different ways. He also talked a lot about the different creative business models behind spreading ideas.
Overall, a great presentation, and Niki gave everyone a lot to think about.
